Another triumph has been added to the history of Turkish motorsports. Our national athlete, Can Öncü, claimed the top step of the podium by crossing the finish line first in the Misano round of the World Supersport Championship. Successfully completing a challenging weekend, Can delivered a powerful performance that ignited excitement both on the track and in the stands.
Determination and Perseverance Shine at Misano
Despite the challenges throughout the weekend, Can Öncü, supported by his team, found the perfect setup and showcased an exceptional race effort. He carefully managed his race pace with a strategy to attack in the final stages. However, following a red flag that brought the race to an early end, Can made history as the rider who crossed the checkered flag in first place.
In his post-race remarks, Can stated: “What matters most to me is fulfilling the task at hand. Winning brings great joy.” His determination and well-executed strategy were the keys to this remarkable victory.
